On Friday, we took a different spin on Professional Learning at Woodlawn Elementary School! Our topic…Mental Health Day!
We started our day focusing on our mind and spirit by learning how to sharpen the saw in the four dimensions and living in quadrant two by prioritizing our BIG ROCKS! Thanks Leader in Me.
Then we got to Focus on our Geniuses. Staff got to choose a hobby to participate in like crocheting, cooking, art, and gardening.
Thirdly, staff filled up their water bottles at the hydration station and focused on their bodies! Staff either participated in Yoga followed by walking, Pickleball, or Book Club!
Then we ended our time focusing on our hearts with special emotional bank account deposits thanks to the families of our amazing staff.
A huge shout out to all of our staff members who led stations and shared their passions. Also, a huge shout out to Ms. Capone from Spa at Hammock Falls and Mr. Maya with Massages by OCL (both Woodlawn parents) for donating chair massages for staff in the afternoon.
Today we achieved the Daily Private Victory so that we can continue with our #OneMission #studentsuccess

At Woodlawn we work hard to build an inclusive environment for all students and today our teachers added to their toolbox to learn how to better serve our students on the autism spectrum. Even as teachers we are constantly growing and learning. #thewoodlawnway #OneMission #studentsuccess
