Woodlawn is excited to add ART to our elective wheel for our students. Our leaders have been working on learning the different types of lines and now put that knowledge to use to build 3D objects with their lines. Look at this creativity! We believe Everyone has GENIUS at Woodlawn! #TheWoodlawnWay #70YearsStrong #TheBestisYettoCome

Our collection of misplaced treasures is getting bigger every day. We have dozens of lonely sweatshirts, water bottles, lunch boxes, and more.

Please peek at the photos and encourage your student to check the lost and found rack located in the cafeteria to see if any of these items belong to them.

They also had a chance to meet real life Tall Tale Characters like Paul Bunyan, Pecos Bill, and Casey Jones. Learning is fun when you do it #TheWoodlawnWay

Open House 2025-2026 is in the books! What an amazing event as we said welcome back to our returning Eagles and welcomed new families to our nest. Thank you for everyone’s patience with parking and being flexible as we work to accommodate our growing school. The office will be open the rest of the week to assist with students needing to still register or in case you missed taking care of any transportation or clinic needs. We can’t wait to see students on Monday!

On Friday, we kicked off our 2025-2026 School Year Traveling through the Decades…Literally! We met at the front of Woodlawn and loaded buses and hit the road.
🎶🛼 Stop 1- Welcome to the 50s and 60s at Sun N Lake Community Center! We started with a wonderful breakfast and coffee bar hosted by our Parent Lighthouse Team! We mingled, introduced our newest Eagles, and learned back to school information. We also made WES Tie Dye shirts to rock the 60s.
🕺🪩 Stop 2- Welcome to the 70s! Next we traveled to Southside Baptist where we had our Data Disco. We reviewed academic, discipline, and attendance data. We also learned how to better understand percentile ranks. We now have our WIGs for this year and we can’t wait to crush them.
🤘🎸💿 Stop 3- Welcome to the 80s and 90s! We ended our tour at the ROC where we partied like it was the 80s and 90s. We learned about our PBiS and Leader in Me initiatives. We also learned a dance routine from the amazing Camille Shaffer from Dance Unlimited. We ended our day with a Walking Tacos lunch prepared by our amazing Parent Lighthouse. We also sang karaoke and guessed whose yearbook pictures were hanging on our wall.
A HUGE thank you to everyone who made today possible. We couldn’t create the Woodlawn Magic without you, especially our rockstar Parent Lighthouse Team. We truly know The Best is Yet to Come! Here’s to year 70!
