Universal Technical Institute Women in STEM Trip
about 1 year ago, Lake Placid High
Some of our students attended the Universal Technical Institute Women in STEM Skilled Trades Conference last week which provided an interactive opportunity for female high school juniors, seniors, and counselors to learn more about the careers available in transportation and other skilled STEM trades. The day included: A campus tour, hands-on, project-based training exercises, a panel discussion featuring employers and successful women in the field. A big thank you to UTI and Mrs. McClellan for this trip!
We love to see hands on learning in our LPHS classes!

LPHS dressed in red on Wednesday to honor our student Jason Wyland and heart disease awareness. Our LPHS AVID students took the time to create a heart for each member of LPHS to include on our wall. Staff and students have had a great time locating their names on our Wall of Love this week.
