Change of Date The 2024 Marching Band Meet and Greet & Information Meeting has been rescheduled from April 30 to Monday, May 6 at 6:00 pm. This meeting is for all students (and their parents) who are interested in joining the Green Dragon Marching Band this fall. If you have any questions about this meeting or about joining our marching Band, please call the band director at 863-699-5010 ext. 21312

Students that already have their Learners Driving Permit can participate in the 2024 Summer Drivers Ed Program. For information and registration forms, please come to Guidance. We will begin taking registration and money on Tuesday, April 16th. To secure a spot, your registration form and $150 must be turned in.

South Florida State College SFSC will be in the LPHS media center tomorrow (Tuesday) from 9:30-3:30 to help you apply, answer financial aid questions, register for classes and anything else you may need. PLEASE stop in to see them. Parents are also welcome to stop in with any questions.

Senior Spotlight Aubrey Louque While at LPHS I have participated in tennis, golf, and have been an active member of FFA and Student Government Association. My favorite teacher from LPHS has been Mrs. Elliott!! A special memory I have is lipsync with my class junior year. After graduation I plan to attend Florida Gulf Coast University to major in Occupational Therapy.

Senior Spotlight Jasmine Ferra-Hernandez While at LPHS I participated in Student Government Association, Future Florida Educators of America, Interact, and Track and Field . I have too many favorite teachers to count. A special memory I have is when I hit two vehicles at my Freshmean Track and Field Districts with a girl's discus in Frostproof. After graduation, I plan on attending college and earning a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education. Twenty years from now I see myself teaching in Highlands County.

Senior Spotligth Emily Cooper While at LPHS I participated in Art Club. My favorite teacher at LPHS has been Ms. Rich. A special memory of my time at LPHS is my field trip to Ringling College of Art and Design for national portfolio day. After graduation, I plan to go to college to become an Ultra Sound Technician. In twenty years I see myself living in Virginia working as an Ultra Sound Technician.
SFSC will be back on campus Tuesday, April 16th to meet with any interested Seniors or their parents.

Senior Spotlight Carina Chirino-reyes While at LPHS I participated in STEAM and translated for LPE. My all time favorite teacher was Mrs Lorenzo. A special memory I have is Sophomore year we all gathered together at Tressa's house to build our class float. We were so excited and confident that we could win (or come close) the next day. We lost really really bad. After graduation, I plan on going straight to college. In twenty years I see myself working as a nurse helping kids from around the world.

Come out Tuesday, April 9th @ 6:00 to watch our Lady Dragons Flag Football team take on the Avon Park, Red Devils in the District Semi-final game. Ticket are $8 for everyone.
Lake Placid Flag Football will be hosting a District game on Tuesday, Apr 9th at 6:00pm. We will be playing Avon Park. Tickets are $8 for everyone per FHSAA. Please come out and support our Lady Dragons!

Senior Spotlight Antranique Felton While at LPHS I participated in AVID, Yearbook, Basketball, and Track. My favorite teacher was Mr. Plummer. A special memory of my time at LPHS is when I got the award for Best all round player in basketball. After graduation I plan to get a nursing degree at FAMU. Twenty years from now I see myself living life as a Billionaire.
