Physical Night Info - When: May 15th, Where: Lake Placid High School Commons, Time: 4:00pm-7:00pm, Cost: FREE
Important Information before you come to Physical Night:
1. Physical packets can be picked up ahead of time in the LPH front office. (Physical packets must have “revised 2/25” on top right corner of the physical to be valid)
2. Physical packets need to have ALL signature lines signed by the athlete AND parent by May 15th. Parents may sign and have papers notarized prior to physical night.
3. Notary will be available at physical night.
4. Athletes may attend without a parent present IF all parent signatures are completed on the FHSAA Physical. Only the physical can be done without a parent if signatures are completed. All other forms needed to be cleared on Athletic Clearance require a parent present for notary. If a parent is present, all paperwork can be completed at physical night.
Drivers Ed Info - If you are 15 years old - 12th grade and are interested in taking the Summer Drivers Education course, registration forms can be picked up in the Guidance Office starting on Tuesday, April 22nd. You may begin to turn in registration forms, $150 by check or cash, and updated Authorization for Treatment form on Wednesday, April 23rd. Please remember priority is given to those students who have a permit or Drivers License already.
Before and After School Tutoring - Tutoring is available Monday - Thursday from 7:30 - 8:00 am and/or Monday - Thursday afternoons from 3:45 - 4:45 Pm. Students may walk home or may be picked up. There is NO bus transportation for after school tutoring. Students complete this form daily if they are interested in morning or afternoon tutoring sessions. This form will notify the teacher that you are planning on attending their tutoring session.
Tardy Policy - Please Click the link below to access the new tardy policy at LPH. This takes effect 1/6/25 make sure you are familiar with the policy.
School Dress Code
Referrals will start being given for being out of dress code.
No bellies - Even if you're wearing a jacket, jacket must be zipped up.
No hats in the building
Shorts and skirts at least mid thigh
Holes in jeans must be below fingertip length.
Shirts must have straps at least two fingers wide
No undergarments should be showing
Food Pantry - There is a LPHS Food Pantry in the Media Center. The Food Pantry is here to help with food items to get you through the weekends, holidays, and more. We have hygiene products, food, school supplies, etc...So if you or any other children in your family need help, come see Mrs. Cheshire in the Media Center or Ms. Perry in Guidance. This program is totally free and absolutely private. Go see them and they can explain how it works
Check-Out Policy
Check-out notes will be accepted for Excused absence reasons only. (See Student Handbook for Excused Absence reasons).
No phone calls will be accepted for check-out purposes.
Only parents/guardians listed in Skyward have the ability to sign a student out of school.
**Please be sure all contact information is updated and correct in Skyward**
